  • I'm sorry but that ...

I'm sorry but that was NOT a sexist episode at all. That sentence is VERY funny, and I'm sure most women would not be offended at all by it. Their respective female interests were not treated in a demeaning manner, in fact the writer gave them a lot of independance, and they guys were always chasing after him. And the Tom toy baby thing. That's not sexist (in ANY way feasible), it was an accident, and incredibly hilarious. I think you're being a little too sensitive.

  • No, this was after ...

No, this was after that one. Where Matt was in agony over Harriet very reasonably calling him out on being an asshole by buying a date with her so that Luke couldn't, and Harry was torturing herself over the same thing.

  • I can't remember ...

I can't remember the name off the top of my head... it was the one where somebody was firing a sexual discrimination lawsuit against Studio 60 and Matt and Danny were all "sexism? wtf, we're not sexist! who is this crazy lady?" as their respective female romantic interests were treated and portrayed in entirely demeaning manners. (Also, Tom may have severed a toy baby's head. I can't say for sure.)

Nah, doesn't worry me. Honestly, as much as I enjoy the dialogue and characters, I've been pretty apathetic towards S60 since that appalling sexism episode.

... He what? She *what*? (I haven't seen past the Allison Janney episode.) ...that. Wow. That brings the soap to a whole new level.

  • makes sense. the ...

makes sense. the fast paced dialogue always left me laughing, etc. but it did kinda get out of hand. like what u said, jeter's brother being captured by terrorists, jordan almost dying, etc. but yeah, good point

  • I think the ...

I think the dialogue, acting and directing were wonderful. Where it fell down was in the plotting. Once Matt turned into a thinly-veiled Sorkin, Danny turned into a creepy stalker guy and the convoluted Matt/Harriet storyline took over, it was all downhill. Not to mention the whole Sorkin/Kristin Chenoweth undertones were entirely creepy.

IMO, it was an ordinary show that had the potential to be awesome, had Aaron Sorkin ever taken his head out of his ass. I say this as a huge admirer of the guy's work.

  • The pilot basically ...

The pilot basically tells us the heroes of the show are upset that the network is too patriotic and Christian bigots have ruined TV. Mathew Perrys character wrote a skit called "Crazy Christians" which got a thumbs down from the stuffy bad guy network characters. The show is about characters like Perry being re-hired to write stuff like that since its "true".

Mathew Perrys character We discover had written an SNL type skit called "Crazy Christians" which got a thumbs down from the stuffy bad guy network characters and was the central subject matter that cuased all of the shows main plot lines.. The show is about characters like Perry being re-hired to write anti-christian stuff like that since its "true".
