The induction coil at one time was the heart of "radio transmission." Taking the DC current and stepping up the voltage through the induction of the primary to secondary windings of the system. Giving access to a higher frequency voltage, this then was used to transmit through a sender set over an antenna. Morse code used a spark coil-induction coil and the old Ford model T cars used a spark coil/induction coil. Understanding the electric induction principle involved was the reason to build this device.

    How do you have your secondary coils wired together? I can't tell from the video, but it appears that the connections are not what I have seen in the literature for the best HV insulation. What capacitor are you using across the interrupter?
    I've seen some of your other videos and they are great!
