    I attended this gathering of the pack. It was my second I ever visited. Twice I was asked to see if I was competing...I guess I just have that look. I had a really great time watching these fights. It is amazing to know how realistic they come to hurting each other without killing each other. Great skill in what the Dog brothers teach. Primarily the respect for each other amongst the fighters. Outstanding concept...keep up the good work.

    nothing wrong with this sparring, but remember the stick represents the blade, in this video no one is respecting that concept, believe me, most men (and women) can take numerous full power shots with a rattan stick, ignore it, close the distance, grapple, you can see it here. so what's the point of the stick at all? serves no purpose if you dont respect the "cut". use goggles, no gloves, and ironwood sticks, you'd get a more realistic response.

    Actually the realism aspect of our training is the main thing that attracts students. Everything we do is based on principle and thus there is no gray area where things might or might not work, no differentiating of techniques based on opponents size or state of martial skill. We do not use safeties beyond the assailant knowing the technique and putting up the proper defense. Since all our students are taught the same moves (depending on level) then they all know what's coming.

If you injure your training partner you both dentrify. Sure they may not be trying to kill eachother, but the injuries are real and sometimes, unfortunately, permanent
