High velocity in Portugal.
no way is that 300mph. The bike would have to be way juiced up and have a few more gears

By Di5TuRBeD 1147006264 Reply Spam [+7] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveIf it trully is portugal which is a country that uses the metric system then it defenetly is KPH
By 4lucard 1150046131 Reply Spam [+2] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveActually, the entire planet Earth uses the metric system. The USA is the only country that doesn't.
By elquemataranas 1155171902 Reply Spam [+4] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveAnd it is 300KM, I was going to mention that but you beat me to it, finally someone with some intelligence...
By el.linx 1155200453 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveA BIKE WOULD NOT BE CONTROLLABLE AT 300 MPH!!!! i have a kawasaki ZZR-600 which is old but can still do 275 km/h. Even at that speed the bike starts to wobble and any faster and there is no way that anyone could control it. 300 MPH is 480 Km/h which means that you would need to be super human to control that and not just a few more gears...
sif u cant go 300mph. R1 or a busa could comftably get up there and for that retard that said moh was only used in the us um try europe u fukin nob. if u dont think sum 1 can go more than 300mph go to youtube and type in ghost rider.
By ausmike 1215476920 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveYou're right. You couldn't control it on a ZZR 600, but you could on a Busa or ZX 14r. They actually feel REALLY stable around 160. I've heard they feel stable around 200mph, but I haven't tried it yet. I'm sure it could be handled, if anyone ever figured out how to get enough power to get it there.
By ruining 1154341503 Reply Spam [-2] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI did 180mph on my busa and my vision blured with the wind buffeting, 160mph was no problem.
By mech1 1156246786 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removebut 200 t0 300 is a very large jump it involves g forces and u could probably barely hang on at that speed just from wind resistance ...... what a dumbas*
By roleplayer 1155884953 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveMy 2003 954RR hit about 203 mph and it is stable upto 196 MPH
but from there up kiss ur ass GOODBYE
I just watched discovery. A new ground rocket was made for races and it speeded up to 303 mp/h and it was much faster than that, plus the guy on the bike wouldn't be able to turn on such a high speed.
By rus_kid 1157078842 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveFirst of all the bike goes 130 in first gear and almost 200 in second gear... If you have a bike that can this, let me know... Then, Portugal is metric system so it more likely to be Km/h
So nice vid anyway but the title is fake add...
there is a 10% reading error on the velocity reader, so it says hes going 300kmph, while hes only actually going in 270kmph, so ur wrong :D its the police who has put it on all european cars, probably american too

By simonmanc 1158417028 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removehow do u figure that bike can't go 300 kmh, which is about 180 mph. that's not too difficult, any 600 series bike can do 165 or so, and a honda cbr 929 can do 180, an 1100 can hit 200, and the suzuki gsr 1300 hayabusa can do like 220. i know that there's no bike that can do 300 mph, but 300 kph is pretty damn easy to reach. tell people ur a professional and that it's ur field, u don't make any damn sense. i'm not a professional by any means, i just happen to own a honda cbr 600 that tops out at 168, stock. and for the person below ya that says bikes are less aerodynamic, they must be retarted as well.
By duckhunter_1100 1155172069 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removethanks man, sence at last. I ride a worked tl1000r with 168 rear wheel ponies and it has pulled 204mph (radar checked at flying mile drags) and it took a bit of work to get it going that well, so im guessing it would only take money to get any gsxr or r6 or cbrr to pull 180mph, however i suspect it would have serious impact on motor life. on ya!
By screamingdemon 1181286995 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveAn unrestricted Busa MIGHT be able to touch 195 (about the same as a Kawi ZX12R) 220 would need a turbo and a lot of boost.
And bikes have much higher CD's (coefficient of drag) than sports cars.
Obvious it's fake, just see the time it takes to pass the cars and the trucks, at 300km/h it would take less time...
By f_odido 1155142351 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removewhy are they always neddle gauges why wont they do it on digtal custer(beause its easyer to cheat)
By -AGV-Badmoon4511 1154104533 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveFirstly, I believe it is Europe which with the exception of the UK, measures speed in KPH. It could be 300 KPH, my car does 240 and has done on the de-restricted sections of the Autobahn, so for quite a few of the bigger bikes out there, no problem, especially the busa! However, 300 KPH does equal 187.5 MPH (Divide KPH by 8 then times by 5 to get MPH). I have watched a lot of Ghostrider stuff and that man is AMAZING! He even pulls wheelies on his busa at 200MPH - yes, MPH!! That isn't up for debate, go to his site of look for his videos online, its there for all to see. Having watched his stuff, I can say that the speed this guy is getting up to doesn't seem to be that fast, but maybe that's the quality of the video?

By Chavagnatze 1154973137 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removebikes are not as earodynamic as a car, for it to reach that speed at that time would be impossible.
By green horn 1154296496 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeare you retarded? a bike is like a bullet compared to car... what do you think aerodynamics is for? it's because the car has more surface area... a bike cuts the air making it go FASTER than a car... moron...
By Padlock3214 1155670983 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeyou know nothing man supprised you can get out of bed in the morning and put your pants on
By yamrapman 1173723377 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveBikes are bricks compared to cars. Maybe less frontal area but the coeffecient of drag on bikes is terrible. How do you think cars that have way less power to weight achieve higher speeds?? Corvette Z06, Ford GT, Ferraris etc..
By Vegas12 1156835615 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveLOL for example a *STOCK* Suzuki Hayabusa will do 0-60 in 2.5ish seconds, and top out around 200MPH... now remember thats with a 1300cc engine... the Ford GT (a car you mentioned) goes pretty good too, 0-60 3.5 and tops out around 200MPH... not to mention it has a 550BHP = 5000 cc... explain to me then, how a bike weighing roughly 500lbs, considering mass of said object has a lot to do with speeds, can be pushed to those speeds, a brick my ass ha
By Padlock3214 1156851975 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThe Busa has a power to weight ratio of almost DOUBLE the GT. In other words, the Busa has aprox 3 pounds for every 1 horsepower. The GT has over 6 pounds per every horsepower. Yet the GT does 205 MPH and the Busa around 195 unrestricted. Even the 500 HP busa turbos that set the land speed records have an aprox. 1:1 power to weight ratio, yet a Bugatti or Salleen S7 twin turbo can achieve those speeds (aprox 250MPH)at a power to weight of 3 pounds per HP.
Dude, you're out of your league here, give it up. Bikes have terribles aeros compared to performance cars. Please look up coefficient of drag and you may come back to the discussion after class.
Do you notice how the bikes will out accelerate the exotic cars UNTILL a certain speed?
In other words, how can a Busa beat a GT by nearly 2 seconds in the 1/4 and still be 10 MPH slower??
Better power to weight will benefit acceleration, the aeros are all about the top speed.
2 of the most aero bikes available are the Busa and ZX12. The Busa has CD of .561, the Kawi is .603.
The Corvette has a CD of .300!!! The Ferraris and Ford GT and the like are aprox the same.
So while frontal area is a measurement, it is not indicative of how slippery a shape actually is.
A flat board held vertically may have a smaller frontal area than a large round ball, but which do think is more slippery through the air?
So before leaving negatives and making ignorant comments, maybe do a little research?
my comment was in reference to a bike's acceleration dumbass, pull all the physics out of your butt, i've taken my fair share of physics classes, and due to mass:power a highend bike will out excellerate the hell out of a car, what are you rambling about
By Padlock3214 1156938809 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveYou said a bike is more aerodynamic than a car.
a "bullet making it faster" is what you said. I proved you wrong and now you bring up a subject nobody has debated.
Obviously a bike with a better power to weight ratio will out accelerate a car. But bikes given the same power ratio have less top end because of poor aeros.
The video is about top speed. NOBODY has talked about acceleration.
Dude, just save face now and kill yourself. Everything that comes from your pie hole shows your stupidity.
Game, set, match, you lose spanky.
If a bike could go that fast i would have bought it.
Of course is not 300 mph but difinitely 300 Kph
By Odnumiar 1147534557 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeyea.. is KM per hour. no bike can move faster than sound
By DavidSKi 1146920422 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveIs 741mph, 300 wouldn't even come close.
By americanjock30 1146924355 Reply Spam [+3] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThrough air at STP (standord temp and pressure) which is 1 atm at 20 degrees celcious sound travels at 343 m/s. If you translated that into mi/hr you get 771.75 mi/hr. So yes I do believe that no bike currently can go faster than sound seeing as the land speed record for a car is 766.109 mi/hr which is close but I mean it was a friggen rocket layed on its side with wheels attached. So I guess what I am saying is that I guess you are right but it is also like saying "no duck can walk backwards faster than a human can think". Research and maybe take a physics class somtime.
By spudmuffin 1146929452 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI am sorry but in order to keep the tone of this board alive I should object to the ducks dont walk backwards, unlike scubadivers . too slow for dat
infact it wouldnt have to be 'juiced up' because it is a r6 and they come with suply tanks (reserve tanks) and it wouldnt need extra gears because when your reaching your rev limit you can gear down and then back up leaving the rev back gearing up and aplying the rev back to its normal state which will give you about 10 MPH more :) trust me im a machinic , bike speacilist and a crash corse bike champ (world tour)
